UWA Reid Library

As part of the latest refurbishments to UWA’s iconic Reid Library, we were proud to supply the Tapa modular seating range by Nowy Styl, designed by renowned Polish designer Przemysław “Mac” Stopa. The refurbishment marks a significant step in the University’s ongoing commitment to creating welcoming, inclusive, and flexible learning environments that meet the evolving needs of students and staff.

Within the newly opened Bidit Sensory Room, Tapa plays a central role in supporting neurodiversity and well-being. Its modular, sculptural form allows for creative configurations that cater to different sensory preferences—offering spaces for quiet reflection, collaboration, or relaxation. The organic shapes and soft upholstery not only provide comfort and acoustic benefits but also bring a playful, contemporary touch that complements the library’s mid-century modern architecture.
